Im giving mad props to Lupe Fiasco for putting this out. Why do artist gotta dumb down their lyrics for the masses. The masses need to stop having that "I keep it real with the hood" mentality and catch up with the rest of the world. True artists make music without limitations. Its good to see someone in the "mainstream" industry that is not sacrificing their creativeness and integrity over the almighy dollar. Just because somebody comes with metaphorical lyrics past the high school level and is not talking about the whips/hoes/and guns doesn't mean they aren't "real". Hey and lets be for real, the so called weirdos, left field thinkers, and against the grain artists of their time are the ones with the most success and longevity. Dont overlook these artist now because your ass will be listening to them 3 years from now when the rest of the world catches up to them.
