Three years in the making, Nothing But the Truth is the story of the Nike SB team, on and off their skateboards. After traveling the world to gather footage, in October 2006, the Nike SB team decided it was time to set the record straight. Filmed on location in the Santa Clarita Valley of Southern California and set to an original soundtrack composed by Mark Mothersbaugh, professional skateboarders Paul Rodriguez, Brian Anderson, Gino Iannucci, Stefan Janoski, Omar Salazar, Chet Childress, Reese Forbes, Todd Jordan, Daniel Shimizu, Danny Supa, Weiger Van Wageningen, Lance Mountain and amateurs Grant Taylor, Lewis Marnell, Dan Murphy and Clark Hassler teamed up with the Belgian director duo Lionel Goldstein to tell the whole truth and Nothing But the Truth.
Think skateboard film rather than skateboard video. The team was given carte blanche to pitch their story. In the story line the skaters would write and direct a film about a "truth" in their lives. What unfolded can be left to interpretation, but has been described by Daniel Shimizu as "Awkward and kinda scary". Whether it's Todd Jordan's attempt at making a "film about women and me" or Omar Salazar's tragic vomiting story, you will be sure to see a new side to the Nike SB team.
Scheduled for release to authorized Nike SB dealers on October 27, 2007, Nothing But the Truth, Nike SB's first full length film will premier in Los Angeles on October 2 at the Kodak Theater with the world tour to follow with the inclusion of Melbourne on the 10th October. - Sneaker Freaker
It's cool to see Grant Taylor from Stratosphere in this film. If you don't know who he is, he is Thomas' son. I've seen this kid skate when he was like 7. Its good to see him doin his thing. Big up to Thomas and Stratosphere, in my opinion the best skateboard shop in Georgia period. These guys are real skaters not posin-ass fly guys who carry their decks at the club and wear Ice Cream shirts LOL!
