This is the first installment of a series of posts called the "Can't Forget Series". It's basically hiphop 101 on forgotten artists that came out with really dope material but were forgotten amongst all the bullshit. The first artist that im gonna introduce is Jemini the Gifted One. In 1995 he released his debut single "Funk Soul Sensation" in which he rhymed with a style that sounded like he had dual personas (you know like TIP but 12 years earlier). This video was produced by none other than Organized Konfusion. The single appeared on his promo only 7 track EP entitled "Scars & Pain" (Mercury/Polygram) in 1995. In 2003, Jemini released "Ghetto Pop Life" with Dangermouse (take note, this was the first of a series of collabos that Dangermouse has released prior to Gnarls Barkley, these collabos also included Prince Po of Organized Konfusion). This album was extremely slept on and I highly recommend getting it if you can find it. He is currently recording a follow up to "Ghetto Pop Life" with Dangermouse entitled "Kill Your Heroes". For all you crate diggers out there, if you got this single keep it. It's pretty rare.
