What up! I know that I haven't been updating my blog due to the lack of enthusiasm. I promise I'll try to update this page as often as I can. My blog had to take the back seat to more important things like world domination and getting paid. I promise more hatin in the weeks to come....Khanone

Get off my cultures dick! Just because you read every damn music, fashion and art blog doesn't make you the spokesperson for a culture that you were never accepted nor a part of. All you so called "cool kids" need to go back to being the normal joes that you were 2 years ago (pre hypebeast) and stop all the nonsense. When shit was poppin the first time around you weren't there, now you claim that its "my life", "i've always repped this"...bullshit! put that copy of complex magazine down and shut the fuck up.... Im pretty vocal about my feelings toward the scene here in Atlanta and i'm gonna be straight up, it sucks! You can't go nowhere without hearing the same shit, seeing the same cats trying to take pictures, and feeling the same vibe. I don't give a fuck about hearing electro 4 nights outta the week...IT GETS OLD!!!!! For real! The Hiphop scene sucks with the exception of the true school cats (you know who you are). Retro is NOT style! Sure it's cool the first time around but every week...give me a fuckin break! That's why I don't go out. Im not a kid anymore so I don't fuck with the kiddie shit. All of my favorite spots have been taken over with the same bullshit that everybody else is on. Switch it up people...GODDAMN!

So i'm sitting here browsing the internet and I came across this site that has all the general rates and criteria for logo designs (all I do is logos) and I realize that im really not getting what im worth when it comes down to this graphic design game. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind hooking up my friends but there has to come to a point where I need to be getting paid for the work and creativity that I put in. Creating a logo is creating someone's identity. That one logo will be seen by lord knows how many people and I only charge what for it? If you ask any professional graphic design company that does logo designs they will tell you that they will charge at least...AT LEAST $150. And that is as cheap as it gets (unless they advertise it like $75 in which you're getting some clip art). I appreciate the fact that you guys choose me to design alot of your logos but please don't undervalue my work, especially if I know you're making bank off of it. Just look at Nike, Coca Cola, Undefeated, Apple, Supreme etc, their logos identify the integrity of their businesses. A logo IS that powerful and should never be undervalued....KhanOne

I'm over this...everywhere I go, it's this. The places that I used to love going...all I see is this. All my favorite DJ's...all they play is this shit. Just when I start goin to a place where I can avoid this scene...they try to take over. You know what, I expect people to hate me for this and to be honest with you I really don't care anymore. You know how the retro dooki-gold chain fad took over hiphop this year, well this is the white-boy version. I went to raves in the 90's and it was a time that I tried to forget but now it's reemerging and taking over Atlanta (I'm not forgetting the black hipsters either **I got that from Creative Loafiing**). You know it wouldn't be so bad if a couple of places had this, but everywhere??? Come on! I wanna hang out with grown folks not sesame street toddlers.
**If this is what you do then it's all good, but remember, will you being doin this 5 years from now....probably not**

I listen to dirty south music but the people down here don't wanna listen to anything I recommend...why is that?) f) slow pace g) no visual stimulation f) everybody is on everybody's dick I want to move outta here asap...who wants to join me?

Never forget where you came from. There are certain people that have been around for a long time, years before we seen you on the block, and we know the person you used to be. Recognize the cats that did it before you and pay respect. Respect is earned and not given due to your affiliations...KhanOne

**Disclaimer: These are strictly my opinions. If you fall into any of these categories and you think im talkin about you then don't take this so seriously. If you do then...fuck it...who cares! Nobody else seems to have the balls to speak their piece in this city anyways.** So we're nearing the end of another year and it's my time to give you the year in review of wack-ass things that made this year a year to forget. Im gonna do this in 3 parts: Fashion, Music, and The Scene (uh oh! you know I have to do it). In this first installment im goin to talk about fashion. This year was coined as the year of the "Cool Guy" aka "Trend Humpers". I know it's the pretty much the norm that everyone follows trends and adjust their wardrobes according to what's hot, but this year it's gone too far. We went from normal lookin dudes to raved-out urban swashbuckers in a matter of months. Materialism has run rampant this year from everyone wanting the newest "exclusive" shit, then come to find out that all their boys got the exact same shit and you end up lookin like a bunch of overly price bufoons with same "exclusive" shit everyone else has. Talk about being original. Creativity has reached an all-time low because everything is being recycled. Having been in the "streetwear" biz since 96, I've watched my favorite brands become mediocre, played, and soon be seen in your nearest Macy's. Oh well, I guess it's about that almighty dollar. Im a big fan of design and creativity. If something looks good then rock it but also remember that you will be looking at yourself a year from now and you dont want your family laughing at pictures of you wearing neon shirts either. Okay where to begin: -The Ed Hardy look (urban pirates/swashbuckler/butt pirates of the carribean look): wow! this look dominated the hiphop scene this year. This look ranged from skulls to wallet chains to tattoo spandex shirts. As I can recall alot of you so-called tough guys used to make fun of this look since it was "on some white boy shit". You guys were the first ones to jump on this bandwagon. Do you know how many times some 5XL tall white tee thug asks me where they can get a wallet chain at or a shirt with a skull on it...thousands! You might as well go and suck Jim Jone's dick if all I care. I've never seen so many people dick-ride a look so hard than this shit. Now they got stores that cater to this look aka Metro Park lol! Snug smedium shirts with eagle feathers and daggers on em, dungeons and dragons hoodies with rhinestones and tattoos of some scene from Beowulf lol! It's all played out. Move on! The rap scene (not hiphop) is like a parasite that exploits and sucks dry anything they can get it's hands on. This look is one of it's victims. -Skateboard/Pharell look: You fuckin posers. You know damn well that none of you guys have ever skated in your life. You just hold your super clean and never used decks at lenox mall and act like you've been ridin all day. Real skateboarders don't give a fuck about how they look. They're all about ridin and having fun. I've never met a real skateboarder with clean Nike SB's. Just like the Ed Hardy look, all of guys were like "that's that white boy shit". Look at me now, im gonna kick-push my way to the nearest skateboard shop and get me a DC or Famous shirt. Oh yeah PS: attention all rap guys don't hang out in front of Stratosphere, they don't want you there. -Nu Rave/Glowstick look: Now this shit is funny. I've never seen so many lite brite rainbow bright kids on the scene than now. Hell even more now than back in the rave days of the 90's. I've seen hiphop guys evolve from being normal to wearing every possible radioactive color known to man. If I had all you of guys together in one place I could see you from the moon lol! Seriously mash ups fucked up fashion (more about the music in Pt.2). -American Apparel/Hipster look: This look ranges from deep v-neck shirts to guys wearing women's pants. Oh yeah why is everybody sportin those little-ass vest and fedoras. Bitch you aint from the UK lol! And why do grown ass men spend insane amounts of money to get a haircut that looks like the back-end of a peacock. Half of you dudes dress like beyotches and prance around with your man-bags (?). You might as well take polaroids of you and your friends sinking in your cheeks, wearing nothing but a schemagh and some american apparel undies on the bathroom floor. What would your dad think? -Retro Kids aka "I don't know where hiphop came from" look: 80's babies, Retrokids...whatever you want to call it. It looks like you guys stepped out of the Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo set and did the worm straight out on the streets. Do you even know anything about the 80's? You know how may times i've called out dudes in their faces and told them that they looked like Kwame or MC Shan and their only response was "Uh who's that?" At least know what the fuck you're representing. Big ass Cazal shades and dookie gold chains are a must for this look. So are hi top fades and you're name written in some graf style on the back of your head. You know what's funny is that these guys look sillier now then they did back in the day. One thing about this look is that companies are charging an arm and a leg for shit that used to be dirt cheap. Hell just go to Fruition in Las Vegas and buy a $200 Bart Simpson shirt and then go kick yourself in the ass when you find that shit in your closet at your mom's crib. Do the knowledge and don't front. Just because you're rockin the retro shit doesn't mean you know the culture. Stay tuned for Pt.2...Music: The Year Of The Stupid Dances & One Hit Wonders

Damn! That was some crazy shit! If you haven't heard the MF Doom that performed last night was an imposter. This really sucked for everyone that paid their hard earned money to see him perform. As a hiphop fan I was really dissappointed. Not only was it not him but whoever performed went on at like 2AM. Muthafuckas know the club closes at like 3. The sad thing is that this has happened before at shows like Rock the Bells. Doesn't he realize that intelligent hiphop fans know the difference. We aren't stupid white tee cats dancin around like Lil Jon. We know better. I am still a fan of his music but I promise I will never go to a MF Doom show again. I got dicked once at the loft when he performed for like 30 minutes. Now this shit. What sucks is that this dude has a crib in Kennessaw. WTF! If you got something goin and you can't perform then reschedule the show. Don't leave your fans hangin. Nobody knew what was goin on. Not me, not MJQ, not anybody but Doom. I hope somebody calls your ass out and exposes that shit on stage. You hurt alot of fans and loss some too....Khanone. Here is a post that I found from Dj Enki. This shit has happened before: The Fake MF Doom Show // August 23, 2007 So I ended up being the opening DJ for the MF Doom show at the Independent last week (Wednesday 8/15). The show started off just fine--I played, Pigeon John played, I did another half-hour or so after Pigeon John, everything went along smoothly--then Doom took the stage. Or rather, "Doom" took the stage. That dude with the mask and the mic was:1) lip-synching2) not actually MF Doom The only thing that was actually live about the show was the hypeman's mic. Everything else ran straight off a recording, and fake Doom pretended to rap and walked up and down the stage doing rapper hands. He faked his way through a set of about 20 minutes (most people feel like it was more like 12-15 minutes), walked off the stage, and jetted out the back door. For this, people paid $28. They were fucking pissed, booing and throwing bottles onstage and shit. I would be, too. I ended up jumping back on again because, well, somebody had to do something. The whole thing was a debacle, and Doom basically shitted on some prtty hardcore fans. They were extremely amped to see him, but many of them immediately noticed that it wasn't him. And as word of his lip-synching spread throughout the crowd, so did discontent. There was another show scheduled for the following night. I dutifully went to the club and set up and sound checked again, then, right before doors, we were told Doom was postponing the show for "medical reasons." Uh-huh. As I left the club that night, some guy on the street stopped me and asked me what was going on. He had been at the show the previous night and was wondering if the show had been cancelled. Turned out the guy had flown in from Denver in large part to see these shows. I felt really bad for the guy--one of his favorite artists straight-up disrespected him. You can't shit on fans like that for long. I know I lost a whole lot of respect for Doom for pulling some sheisty shit like this. — DJ Enki Damn! The exact same shit that happened last night.
