As many of you know, I am a huge Company Flow Fan. For those who don't know, Company Flow consists of El-P, Big Juss & Mr. Len. They were widely responsible for the emergence of underground or indie hiphop along with Mos Def & Rawkus Records. Their album, Funcrusher Plus was released in 97 and was recognized as one of the most important and ground-breaking hiphop albums of the late 90's. In 99, Big Juss decided to go the solo route and the group eventually disbanded. El-P, as most of you know, then started Def Jux. The label responsible for acts like Mr. Lif, Aesop Rock, Cage & Cannibal Ox. Company Flow has always been one of those groups who pushed creativity to its limits. If you ask anybody who knows their music they would tell you that they were too advanced for their market and time. People label them as too weird or abstract but they also say that about Lil Wayne (I had to do it). I enjoy hiphop that pushes the envelope lyrically and is 100% original and Company Flow was certainly one of those groups. Here is some footage of Big Juss reuniting with El-P at CMJ this year...enjoy!
Here are their only 2 video ever released as a group "8 Steps To Perfection" "End To End Burners"
